Future Fellows
How do we lead change in a time of conflict and chaos? How do we lift our gaze 10 or 50 years into the future and allow the future to shape the decisions we make today?
In Soon – Lab for Possible Futures we just launched this year’s Future Fellows programme – a learning and networking programme designed for people who want to create meaningful change in society. Each cohort consists of approx. 15 participants selected for their experience in bringing people together around a shared cause, leading transformation, or otherwise working to change society.

Training your capacity for leading transformation
The programme uses artistic methods and futures literacy to train participants’ imagination and capacity for action. It brings together the cohort of Fellows, experts in futures thinking, and experienced change leaders, with ongoing guidance from the team behind Soon: Curator Majken Overgaard, Head of Development at the Copenhagen Institute for Futures Studies Nicklas Larsen, and Programme Director at the Bikuben Foundation Trine Bøgkjær.
Throughout the programme, each participant works on their own case; a challenge to address, an agenda to shift, or a change to root within their organisation or community. This case serves as the ongoing subject of learning, reflection, testing, and development over the course of the programme. The programme is free of charge and runs from August 2026, comprising around 10 sessions over the autumn and is currently closed for new applications.
From organisation leaders to activists
Fellows come from a wide range of backgrounds, leaders, activists, artists, civil servants, researchers, communicators, organisers, entrepreneurs, and others. Selection has been based not on title but on whether a person is positioned to set something in motion with greater depth, awareness, and impact, and is driven by a wish to experiment, learn, share, and mobilise others around change. Each cohort is designed to be diverse, bringing together a broad range of experiences, professions, sectors, and life paths, in the belief that varied perspectives are essential to both stronger learning and better futures.
Creating impact through established tools & methods
Participants gain more than new knowledge: they are trained to navigate and act within complexity and to turn ideas into concrete, impactful outcomes. The programme uses established tools and methods, helps participants refine their own change strategies, and connects them to a lasting Fellow network they can draw on after the programme concludes.
